The Annual 5k Memory Run/Walk
Please support the Alzheimer's and Dementia Association of the Cayman Islands in its efforts to raise funds and awareness.
Date: Saturday 27th September 2014
Time: 6am - Walk begins 6:30am - Run begins
Location: from Smith Cove to the Avenue (South Sound) returning back to Smith Cove.
Route Length: 5K
Refreshments, Awards and Prize Drawing once the last Runner/Walker is accounted for.
Red Cross will be on hand to administer first aid should the need arise.

Saturday 6th September - Kirks Supermarket from 9am to 3pm
Saturday 13th September - Kirks Supermarket from 9am to 3pm
Saturday 20th September - Camana Bay from 10am to 5pm
Saturday 20th September - Kirks Supermarket from 9am to 3pm
Monday 22nd September - Kirks Supermarket from 5 to 9pm
Tuesday 23rd September - Kirks Supermarket from 5 to 9pm
Thursday 25th September - Kirks Supermarket from 5 to 9pm
Friday 26th November - Kirks Supermarket from 5 to 9pm
You may also register on the morning of the event at 5:30am.
Where do the funds go? All funds raised from the Run/Walk will go towards our various educational and care projects on Grand Cayman, Cayman Brac and Little Cayman.
Do I have to register in order to Run/Walk? Yes, we want to know you’re running/walking with us and need every runner and walker to sign a standard waiver through their official registration.
Do I need to register my children for Run/Walk? Yes, children should register. Parents/guardians can register children online or complete an offline registration form and sign the waiver on behalf of the child.
Does every runner/walker get a T-shirt? The first 100 registered runners/walkers will receive a complimentary T-Shirt.
Are pets, strollers, bicycles and skates allowed on run/walk day? We do allow strollers, but for everyone’s safety, we discourage skateboards, bicycles, inline skates and wheelie footwear. Dogs are welcome, but they must be on a leash at all times!
What happens if it rains? The Run/Walk is a rain or shine event. However, in the case of severe weather, we will cancel. If this is the case, we will update our Run/Walk homepage on or before the morning of the event.
Where will there be parking? There is a parking lot across from the beach. There is no parking allowed roadside opposite the event.
We need volunteers! Know anyone who might be interested in helping us on the day of the event? We need volunteers to help with set-up, clean-up, registration, water stops and so much more. All interested volunteers should contact Dorothy on 924-4170 or email: .
